Members of the media are invited to the XXIV Socialist International Congress pre-congress media briefing. The briefing will be addressed by the ANC Secretary General, Cde Gwede Mantashe.
The aim of the briefing is to alert the media on the significance of the Socialist International and the connotation of the ANC hosting the event - the first in the African continent. Furthermore, the briefing is aimed to update the media on the international delegates, organisations and countries that will be attending the conference.
Members of the media are also reminded to send their accreditation forms to senzi@gmx.com or sngubane@anc.org.za, to be eligible to attend the congress.
Media accreditation will commence tomorrow, 29th August 2012. Please note that the media will be allowed to attend all the congress sessions and will be granted access to interview Heads of State and Missions, including the leadership of the Socialist International.
